CEDAR FALLS, Iowa, Feb. 4 (UPI) -- Anthony James hit a 3-pointer with 5 seconds left Saturday, handing Northern Iowa a 65-62 upset win over 12th-ranked Creighton.
James' decisive shot came after Creighton's Antoine Young had buried a 3-pointer of his own with 1:02 remaining to produce a 62-62 tie.
James finished with 16 points for the Panthers (16-9, 6-7 MVC), who played a nearly error-free game against the Bluejays.
Seth Tuttle scored 13 points and pulled down nine rebounds, while Deon Mitchell added 12 points in the victory.
Young netted 23 points, and Doug McDermott added 18 points and 13 rebounds, but it wasn't enough for Creighton (21-3, 11-2).
The Bluejays saw their win streak end at 11.
