COL BKB: Baylor 63, Texas A&M 60

COLLEGE STATION, Texas, Feb. 1 (UPI) -- Pierre Jackson put Baylor in front with 18 seconds remaining Wednesday by hitting a 3-pointer and the No. 6 Bears held on to defeat Texas A&M 63-60.

The Bears led by 13 early in the second half but the Aggies came back to take the lead in the final minute.

The clutch shot by Jackson gave Baylor a 61-60 lead. Elston Turner then missed a 3-pointer for the Aggies with 6 seconds left.

Jackson made a pair of free throws with a second to play before Turner failed on a desperation 3-point try at the buzzer.

Perry Jones scored 15 points to lead Baylor (20-2, 7-2 Big 12 Conference) and Jackson had 14. The Bears won their third in a row after dropping league games against Kansas and Missouri.

David Loubeau le Texas A&M (12-9, 3-6) with 16 points.

It was the final regular-season meeting for the teams as members of the Big 12. The Aggies will move to the Southeastern Conference next season.
