OXFORD, Miss., Jan. 26 (UPI) -- A 3-pointer by Mike Rosario put Florida ahead to stay with 5:35 to go Thursday and the No. 13 Gators went on to defeat Mississippi 64-60.

Florida dug itself out of an early hole to win its fourth straight.

Mississippi rushed to a 20-4 lead over the first 7:30 but the Gators closed to within 10 at halftime and caught up midway through the second period.

Two free throws by Erving Walker gave the Gators a seven-point lead with 49 seconds remaining.

Patric Young led the Gators with 15 points and Kenny Boynton had 12. The Gators (16-4, 4-1 Southeastern Conference) lost the rebounding battle 36-18, but turned the ball over just six times and made 10 from 3-point range.

Mississippi (13-7, 3-3) lost at home for the first time this season. Terrance Henry scored 21 points and had 10 rebounds for the Rebels.
