COL BKB: Louisville 84, Villanova 74

LOUISVILLE, Ky., Jan. 25 (UPI) -- Peyton Siva dominated down the stretch and scored 16 points Wednesday in rallying No. 25 Louisville to an 84-74 victory over Villanova.

The Cardinals shot only 42 percent from the field and trailed by five at halftime, but hit 24 free throws to fight off the Wildcats.

Kyle Kuric, Chane Behanan and Chris Smith all had 14 points for the Cardinals (16-5, 4-4 Big East Conference). Louisville won its first 12 games of the season before losing three of its first four in league play.

Villanova (10-11, 3-6) was led by Maalik Wayns with 19 points.
