COL BKB: Virginia Tech 47, Virginia 45

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., Jan. 22 (UPI) -- Erick Green scored 15 points and Dorenzo Hudson hit a key 3-pointer Sunday in Virginia Tech's 47-45 upset of No. 17 Virginia.

Hudson netted 12 points, including a trey in the late stages that iced the victory for the Hokies (12-7, 1-4 ACC), who claimed their first conference victory.

The key bucket came in the final 30 seconds and handed Virginia Tech a decisive 47-43 lead.

The Cavaliers (15-3, 2-2) were led by Joe Harris, Jontel Evans and Mike Scott, each of whom netted 10 points.

Virginia missed 13 of its 14 three-point tries in the setback.
