
BLOOMINGTON, Ind., Jan. 22 (UPI) -- Cody Zeller netted 18 points and Jordan Hulls heated up down the stretch Sunday in 13th-ranked Indiana's 73-54 win over visiting Penn State.
Zeller went 7-of-8 shooting from field, blocking four shots, and Hulls notched all 14 of his points in the second half for the Hoosiers (16-4, 4-4 Big Ten).
Indiana, which snapped a three-game losing streak, clamped down on defense in the second half to secure the victory, holding Penn State to 22.7 percent shooting.
Tim Frazier led the Nittany Lions (10-11, 2-6) with 21 points.
Penn State team members wore black armbands to honor the memory of former head football Coach Joe Paterno, who died earlier Sunday at age 85.
A moment of silence was held at Assembly Hall to remember the legendary gridiron mentor.
