The Orange (20-1, 7-1) saw their 20-game winning streak come to end thanks to a slow start and scoring struggles in the second half.

Syracuse made it interesting near the end but ended up with the loss, leaving Murray State as the lone undefeated team in NCAA Division I basketball.

James Southerland led the Orange with 15 points off the bench while Kris Joseph was held to 14 points on 5-of-13 shooting.
