ATLANTA, Jan. 19 (UPI) -- Mike Scott paced Virginia with 18 points Thursday and the 17th-ranked Cavaliers gave up only 14 field goals in drubbing Georgia Tech 70-38.
Virginia bounced back from last week's loss to Duke, a setback that ended a 12-game winning streak.

Georgia Tech scored just six points over the final 12:30 of the opening half and shot a mere 29 percent for the game. The Yellow Jackets made 1-of-15 attempts from 3-point range.
Joe Harris added 16 points on 7-of-10 shooting for the Cavaliers (15-2, 2-1 Atlantic Coast Conference). Virginia pulled down 18 more rebounds than did Georgia Tech.
Kammeon Holsey was the only player in double figures for the Yellow Jackets (8-10, 1-3), scoring 12 points.
