HARTFORD, Conn., Jan. 9 (UPI) -- Jeremy Lamb scored six of his 25 points in the final 2 1/2 minutes Monday and 16th-ranked Connecticut held on for a 64-57 decision over West Virginia.

Lamb hauled down eight rebounds for the Huskies (13-3, 3-2 Big East), who rallied from a 10-point second-half deficit to halt a two-game losing streak.

Andre Drummond scored 20 points, and hit a jumper with 1:25 left that gave UConn a 60-57 lead. He collected 11 boards, made three blocks and logged a pair of steals.

The Mountaineers (12-5, 3-2) got 22 points from Kevin Jones.

WVU's Darryl Bryant missed a potential game-tying 3-point attempt with 7 seconds remaining.
