WASHINGTON, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Jason Clark led No. 12 Georgetown with 16 points and nine rebounds Saturday, helping the Hoyas down Providence 49-40 for their 10th straight win.

Georgetown (12-1, 2-0 Big East) used 11 points, eight boards and four blocked shots from Henry Sims to extend its longest run since an 11-game streak in 2006-07.

Providence (11-4, 0-2) got a double-double of 13 points and 14 rebounds from LaDontae Henton, but it wasn't enough to prevent the Friars' second straight Big East conference loss.
