CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., Dec. 27 (UPI) --
Mike Scott scored 17 points Tuesday, helping 24th-ranked Virginia cruise past Maryland-Eastern Shore 69-42 in a non-conference game.
Darion Atkins added 13 points and Joe Harris chipped in with 10 points for the Cavaliers (11-1).
Virginia rolled to its ninth straight win thanks to its 50-percent shooting from the field. The Cavaliers handed out 22 assists compared with four for their opponents.
The Hawks (3-10), who could manage only 27.8 percent from the field, were led by Hillary Haley with 11 points.
