
WASHINGTON, Dec. 10 (UPI) -- Otto Porter came off the Georgetown bench Saturday to score 13 points and lead the No. 21 Hoyas past Howard University 62-48.
Porter also grabbed four rebounds and stole the ball twice in their sixth consecutive victory.
Georgetown (8-1) took advantage of a dismal shooting performance by the Bison (3-6) who scored 17 points in the first half and shot 33.3 percent from the field over the course of the game.
Jason Clark and Hollis Thompson both scored 12 points for Georgetown, who shot a very modest 34 percent from the field and was 1-of-13 from 3-point range.
The Hoyas nonetheless led 30-17 at the intermission and outscored Howard by 1 point in the second half.
Mike Phillips recorded 14 points for Howard and Dadrian Collins scored 11.
