COL BKB: Missouri 81, Villanova 71

NEW YORK, Dec. 6 (UPI) -- Marcus Denmon poured in 28 points Tuesday, helping 10th-ranked Missouri down Villanova 81-71 at the Jimmy V Classic in New York.

The Tigers remained unbeaten at 8-0 thanks in part to 17 points and 11 rebounds from Ricardo Ratliffe and Kim English added 15 points. Phil Pressey contributed to the win with a career-high 12 assists.

The Wildcats (5-3) lost for the third time in four games despite 14 points and eight assists from Maalik Wayns.
