COL BKB: Ohio State 85, Jackson State 41

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Nov. 18 (UPI) -- Jared Sullinger made 7-of-9 shots from the field Friday to send No. 3 Ohio State sailing past Jackson State 85-41.

Jackson State scored only seven points during the final 16 minutes of the first half, falling behind by 29 at intermission.

Sullinger scored 16 of his 20 points in the dominating first half and grabbed 11 rebounds. Deshaun Thomas, William Buford and Jordan Silbert all had 11 points for the Buckeyes (3-0). Ohio State had 41 rebounds to just 15 for the Tigers.

Jackson State was led by Kelsey Howard with 17 points. The Tigers (0-4) traditionally play a difficult non-conference schedule and in addition to Ohio State they have already lost to Baylor and Florida. They have games remaining against Memphis and California before the start of their league campaign.
