DURHAM, N.C., Nov. 18 (UPI) -- Mason Plumlee scored 10 of his 16 points during a 12-0 run in the second half Friday, pacing No. 6 Duke to an 82-69 victory over Davidson.
In the first game since Mike Krzyzewski became the all-time winningest college basketball coach, his Blue Devils found themselves in a battle with the Wildcats.
The contest was deadlocked at 41-41 3:30 into the second half, but Duke then went on its Plumlee-powered run to take control. The Blue Devils (4-0) ran the nation's longest current home winning streak to 39 games.
Plumlee finished with 16 points off the bench, while Seth Curry and Austin Rivers both scored 17 for Duke. The Blue Devils shot 53 percent from the field.
Chris Czrapowicz led Davidson (2-1) with 15 points.
