NEW YORK, Nov. 15 (UPI) -- Duke Coach Mike Krzyzewski won his 903rd career game Tuesday, setting an NCAA record with sixth-ranked Blue Devils' 74-69 win over Michigan State.

Krzyzewski bypassed former mentor Bobby Knight for the most wins by a college basketball coach in NCAA Division I history with his latest victory, which came in the Champions Challenge at Madison Square Garden.

Andre Dawkins went 6-of-10 from 3-point range en route to 26 points and Seth Curry finished with 20 points, five rebounds and five steals for the Blue Devils (3-0).

An array of former Duke players under Krzyzewski, including Shane Battier, Carlos Boozer and Chris Duhon, attended the contest.

Keith Appling led the Spartans (0-2) with 22 points. Adreian Payne hauled down 12 rebounds in the loss.
