Canada body-parts murder victim identified

NASHVILLE, Nov. 12 (UPI) -- Jeffery Taylor scored eight of his 21 points over the final 5 minutes Friday, allowing No. 7 Vanderbilt to hold off Oregon 78-64.
The Commodores owned a mere five-point point lead before closing the contest on a 16-7 run that was sparked by Taylor. Taylor also had 11 rebounds while John Jenkins scored 24 points for Vanderbilt.
Oregon outshot the Commodores 49 percent to 41 percent, but Vanderbilt made nine more free throws than did the Ducks and turned the ball over 11 fewer times.
Vanderbilt outscored Oregon 7-1 during the final 2:30 of the first half to take a 35-29 lead at intermission.
The Ducks were paced by Tony Woods with 12 points off the bench.
