The Russian word for "wolf" is "volk" and the Russian word for "fool" is "durak."

SOCHI, Russia, Feb. 21 (UPI) -- The viral video of a wolf in U.S. luge star Kate Hansen's dorm was a prank cooked up by Hansen and late-night host Jimmy Kimmel.

News outlets around the world ran the viral video from Hansen's Twitter account of what seems to be a wolf outside her dorm before her spokesperson told Inside Edition that it was a prank made up by Kimmel and executed by Hansen. Rather than a wolf, it was more than likely a husky that was wandering the halls.

The reason the prank did not seem so far-fetched was the fact that the stray dogs in Sochi and the generally inadequate preparations of the lodgings in the Olympic Village have brought international media attention. It did not seem like much of a leap that a wolf could have been wandering in the U.S. athlete's dorm.

This will probably go in the hall of fame for Kimmel's pranks and the scrapbook of Hansen's funniest Olympic moments.
