(UPI) -- Cristiano Ronaldo scored three goals for Portugal to cancel out Sweden's two and qualify his country for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Sweden's star Zlatan Ibrahimovich scored two in the match, a thriller as Sweden went up 2-1 only to be knocked back to earth by two more Ronaldo goals.

Following the match, Ibrahimovich told the press that Sweden gave it their best shot.
