Raising Cane's, a chicken-finger chain, has offered Dwight Howard an incentive to come play for the Dallas Mavericks.
Cane's has proposed a billboard campaign to let Howard know that if he signs with the Mavericks, the chain will treat him with chicken fingers for life at any of its 20 locations.
“These next few days, Dwight Howard will be making arguably the most important career decision of his life,” said Adam Reed, the marketing manager for Raising Cane’s. “So we thought we’d make Dwight an offer he couldn’t refuse to up the ante for a Dallas-bound decision.”
The billboards say "Bring Dwight to Big D" alongside the Cane's logo, with #CANES4DWIGHT.
The Los Angeles Lakers are still trying to hang on to Howard, and has posted seven billboards with Howard's picture alongside the word "Stay." The Lakers would be able to offer him the highest salary of all competing teams, but Howard is reportedly unlikely to return to the team.
Howard is reported to be considering the Houston Rockets and the Atlanta Hawks as his most likely selections.
