Chris Paul has reportedly decided to stay with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Paul, arguably the best guard in the league, will soon accept a five-year, $107 million offer with the team. The deal is not official yet, as Paul cannot sign a new contract until July 10. He can agree to the terms of the deal before that date, however.

The Clippers may have a shot at an NBA title with Paul and Blake Griffin playing under new coach Doc Rivers. Rivers moved to the Clippers in a trade with the Celtics last week, a move that former coach Vinny Del Negro said Paul had a hand in.

The team is expected to make a few other moves on their roster to further their shot as a championship contender. The team won 56 games last season.

"Paul’s decision to stay with the Clippers is hardly a surprise," said columnist Ramona Shelburne. "The only suspense remaining is when and how he will officially accept."
