Mike Mussina, former Yankees pitcher, now coaching high school basketball

Mike Mussina, who can boast 270 wins as pitcher for the New York Yankees and the Baltimore Orioles from 1991 to 2008, was just hired as head basketball coach for his alma mater, Montoursville high school in Pennsylvania.

According to the Williamsport Sun Gazette, Mussina will receive a $4,170 stipend for his work with the team. He will replace Mark Molesky, who will become his first assistant.

The 44-year-old graduated from Montoursville in 1987, having garnered 1,382 points as a high school basketball player.
