Navy (9-3) has won 14 straight against Army (6-5) and holds a 60-49-7 edge in the all-time series. This is the first time since 2010 that both Army and Navy enter the game with winning records.

The Midshipmen lost the American Athletic Conference title game to Temple last Saturday, but will play against Louisiana Tech in the Armed Forces Bowl.

The Black Knights will battle North Texas in the Heart of Dallas Bowl.
