San Diego Chargers lose LB Manti Te'o for season

San Diego Chargers linebacker Manti Te'o is out for the season with a torn Achilles.

Te'o was injured on non-contact play with 4:45 remaining in the first quarter of the Chargers' loss at Indianapolis on Sunday. Dropping in coverage and retreating to his right, Te'o collapsed 10 yards away from the ball and immediately grabbed his left shin and calf area.

The Chargers confirmed Monday Te'o suffered a torn Achilles and will require surgery.
