NEW YORK -- Baltimore Orioles center fielder Adam Jones left Friday's game with a strained left hamstring.

Jones had his hamstring cramp up during the late innings of Thursday's game in Washington and tested it before Friday's game. Before putting Jones into the starting lineup, manager Buck Showalter said he had two lineups in case Jones could not start.

In his first at-bat, Jones grounded out to third base and television replays showed him pulling up after crossing first base. After the Orioles batted in the top of the second, Jones was replaced by Nolan Reimold.

Jones is batting .275 with 24 home runs and 74 RBIs this season.
