DETROIT, Aug. 25 (UPI) -- Skateboarding G.O.A.T. Tony Hawk just bought a house in Michigan.

On Wednesday, Hawk closed on a three-unit apartment building in Detroit's Woodbridge neighborhood, according to the Detroit Free Press.

But Hawk, 48, isn't moving to the city with his family. When they are in town, the Hawk's will stay in one of the units in the 120-year-old building while the other units are leased.

Our house it has a crowd. There's always something happening, and it's usually quite loud. #theD

"They love it," Jim Tumey, a senior commercial agent at The Loft Warehouse, told the Free Press. "Where else can you buy three apartments in a 120-140-year-old building? It's a pretty good deal."

The red brick building was a hospital at one point. Curbed Detroit reported that the home was built in 1900, and that Hawk donated $30,000 to one of the city's skate parks in 2013.

In June, Hawk showed he could still complete his signature 900 trick. In his 17-year-skateboarding career, Hawk won more than 70 competitions and claimed several gold medals at the X Games.
