African boxer arrested in Rio for allegedly sexually harassing maid at Olympic Village

RIO DE JANEIRO, Aug. 8 (UPI) -- For the second time in a week, an African boxer has been arrested by Brazilian police for allegedly sexually assaulting a housekeeper in the Olympic Village.

Namibian fighter Jonas Junius was arrested by Rio authorities after a maid claimed he tried forcefully to kiss her and offered her money for sex.

Junius, 22, who carried Namibia's flag at the Opening Ceremony, is scheduled to fight in the light-welterweight division at the Rio games.

Last week, Hassan Saada, a Moroccan boxer was also arrested for allegedly sexually harassing two female housekeepers. He was ordered held for 15 days pending an investigation and may not be able to compete in the Olympics.

Junius is scheduled to fight Hassan Anzille, of France, on Aug. 11.
