Washington Redskins linebacker Junior Galette will miss a second straight season because of an Achilles injury.

In a direct message via Twitter, Galette said he tore his right Achilles tendon during football drills Sunday. The news was first reported by NFL.com.

A week before the 2015 season, Galette tore his left Achilles and missed the entire campaign.

He spent his first five seasons with the New Orleans Saints. In the 2012 and 2013 seasons, Galette recorded a combined 22 sacks and was rewarded with a four-year, $41.5 million deal in 2014.

The NFL suspended two games last season for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy.

The Redskins also parted ways with defensive back Kyshoen Jarrett.

He was waived with a failed physical designation.

He was a sixth-round pick out of Virginia Tech in 2015 and suffered nerve damage to his shoulder in the final game of the season at Dallas.

He finished the season as the sixth-leading tackler on the Redskins.

There is a possibility his career is over.
