Monday's event, which takes place at San Diego's Petco Park, will repeat last year's bracket format that saw then-Reds star Frazier outlast Joc Pederson of the Los Angeles Dodgers in the final at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati.

This year's seeds were determined based on home run totals through Wednesday's games.

Frazier, who has 23 homers in 2016, will serve as the No. 2 seed and will square off against Colorado Rockies slugger Carlos Gonzalez.

Current home run leader Mark Trumbo of the Baltimore Orioles was deemed the derby's top seed and will face Dodgers rookie Corey Seager, who is the eighth seed.

Third-seeded Adam Duvall of the Reds will square off with likely fan favorite Wil Myers of the hometown San Diego Padres.

Seattle Mariners star Robinson Cano, who was the 2011 champion, is the fourth seed and will test his mettle against Giancarlo Stanton. The Miami Marlins slugger has recorded back-to-back two-homer performances.
