The Washington Wizards are nearing an agreement on a five-year, $128 million maximum deal with guard Bradley Beal, according to multiple media reports.

Mark Bartelstein, Beal's agent, told The Vertical that the contract for the restricted free agent will be five years with no options and is expected to be completed Friday morning.

Beal, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2012 draft by Washington, averaged 17.4 points last season for the Wizards.

Sources told the Vertical that Beal, a 6-foot-5 Florida product who shot 44.9 percent from the field last season, reportedly will wait for Washington to explore free agency options before signing the contact.

Though free agents were allowed to begin speaking to teams at 12:01 a.m. Friday, contracts can't be signed until July 7.
