San Diego will place center fielder Jon Jay on the disabled list and recall left fielder Alex Dickerson from Triple-A El Paso.
Jay was struck on the right forearm by an 89 mph fastball from Washington left-hander Gio Gonzalez on June 19.

Initial X-rays came back negative and Jay and the team thought his arm was just bruised, and he has traveled with the team.
Further tests on Monday revealed the fracture. He is expected to be out for at least six weeks.
The injury comes at the wrong time for the Padres who, according to reports, had been engaged in trade talks involving Jay.
Jay is hitting a .296 clip with 20 doubles and two home runs.
