Charlotte Hornets forward Frank Kaminsky will undergo a "minor procedure" on his chest Wednesday, according to the team.

The procedure is to repair a small pocket of air between his lung and chest. Kaminsky is expected to need six weeks to recover, which means he will miss the Pro Summer League in Orlando.

Kaminsky averaged 7.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 21.1 minutes in 81 games as a rookie last season, including three starts. He was fifth among NBA rookies with 68 three-point attempts.

The Hornets also announced their 13-man roster for the Summer League: guards Wayne Blackshear, Ramon Galloway, Aaron Harrison, Brandon Paul and Tim Quarterman, forwards John Brown, James Kelly, DeShaun Thomas and Sam Thompson, forward/centers Goodluck Okonoboh and Joseph Uchebo and center Mike Tobey.

The Hornets begin play in the league on July 2 against the Orlando Magic.
