The NHRA's fourth race of June saw Kalitta Motorsports roar through qualifying for the Summit Nationals in Norwalk, Ohio, on Saturday.

Doug Kalitta (Top Fuel) and Del Worsham (Funny Car) were the top qualifiers in the nitro divisions, the third time this team based in nearby Ypsilanti, Mich., has swept the categories.

Kalitta posted a 3.719-second run at 327.51 mph to beat Antron Brown's 3.733 seconds at 320.51. Kalitta will go for his fourth win of the season in Sunday's eliminations.

Worsham posted his first No. 1 qualifying position of the season and the 46th of his career. His track-record run of 3.875 seconds clocked at 328.70 mph, although his Camry sustained minor damage Saturday when the parachutes failed to deploy in the final run. He went through the sand trap at the end of the track.

Worsham called it a malfunction in the routing of the cable wiring.

"When they didn't deploy it was all I could do to get (the car) stopped," Worsham said. "Luckily, the damage was minimal for what it could have been."

Greg Anderson, a five-time winner this season in Pro Stock, and two-time Pro Stock Motorcycle winner Eddie Krawiec also were top qualifiers in the professional categories.

Anderson led qualifying for the fifth time this season and the 85th time in his career. Krawiec has been No. 1 in four of the five races of the season.
