Detroit Lions TE Tim Wright goes on IR with torn ACL

The Detroit Lions placed tight end Tim Wright on injured reserve Tuesday after he suffered a torn ACL during Organized Activities last week.

Wright came to the Lions last year after a trade with the Tampa Buccaneers and played in nine games, finishing the season with nine receptions for 77 yards and two touchdowns.

In three NFL seasons with the Buccaneers and Lions, Wright has 13 touchdowns and 89 catches for 907 yards in 41 games, including 11 starts. He originally signed as an undrafted free agent with the Buccaneers in 2013 out of Rutgers.
