The Golden State Warriors' comeback in the Western Conference finals enabled TNT to air the most-watched telecast of any kind in its 28-year history.

The network said it averaged 15.9 million viewers for Monday's Game 7 in which the Warriors rallied to post a 96-88 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder. Golden State railed 3-1 in the best-of-seven series before winning the last three games to reach the NBA Finals.

The broadcast is also the largest-ever audience for an NBA game aired on a cable network.

The number of viewers is also the most for a non-NBA Finals game since 7 of the 2000 Western Conference finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and Portland Trail Blazers.
