Cleveland Browns sign fourth-round DB Derrick Kindred

The Cleveland Browns signed fourth-round defensive back Derrick Kindred to a four-year rookie contract on Friday.

Kindred's deal is worth about $2.839 million, including an almost $500,000 signing bonus, based on the NFL's slotting system for rookies.

The 5-foot-10, 210-pound Kindred was the 129th overall selection out of Texas Christian.

Kindred played in 50 career games at TCU, with 30 starts. He totaled 235 tackles, 15 passes defensed, eight interceptions, four fumble recoveries and three forced fumbles. He received All-Big 12 First Team honors in 2015.

The Browns have now signed eight of their 14 draft picks in this year's draft, including wide receiver Corey Coleman (first round), linebacker Emmanuel Ogbah (second round), wide receiver Jordan Payton (fifth round), offensive lineman Spencer Drango (fifth round), wide receiver Rashard Higgins (fifth round), defensive back Trey Caldwell (fifth round) and linebacker Scooby Wright III (seventh round).
