Cincinnati Reds relief pitcher Ross Ohlendorf appealed his suspension stemming from a May 11 incident against the Minnesota Twins, and on Monday that suspension was rescinded.

In the ninth inning at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, Ohlendorf hit Pittsburgh's David Freese and was immediately ejected. Both teams had been warned by the umpires after earlier batters were hit.

Ohlendorf, who is 3-4 with a 4.79 ERA, said he didn't hit Freese on purpose and was surprised by the suspension.

Four Pittsburgh batters were hit in that game; two Reds were hit. The Pirates won, 5-4.
