Dustin Johnson pulls out of Wells Fargo

Dustin Johnson withdrew from this week's Wells Fargo Championship on Tuesday for undisclosed reasons.

Stewart Cink and Smylie Kaifman also withdrew, with Tommy Aiken, D.H. Lee and Kelly Kraft filling the three vacanies, according to PGATour.com columnist Rob Bolton.

Johnson, ranked No. 8 in the world rankings, is from Columbia S.C., less than two hours south from the Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte where the Wells Fargo will be played. He finished fourth at last month's Masters and is expected to be in the field for The PLAYERS Championship next week.
