Washington Redskins waive CB Chris Culliver, seven others

The Washington Redskins announced Monday veteran cornerback Chris Culliver was among eight players who were released.

The Redskins signed Culliver to a four-year deal last offseason worth more than $30 million. His season was limited to six games because of injury and a one-game suspension.

Washington signed All-Pro cornerback Josh Norman last month and drafted Virginia Teck corner Kendall Fuller in the third round on Friday.

The Redskins also parted ways with defensive lineman Christo Bilukidi, linebacker Desmond Bishop, wide receiver LaRon Byrd, defensive lineman Anthony Johnson, defensive lineman Kamal Johnson, cornerback Al Louis-Jean and linebacker Derrick Mathews.
