Glenn Gronkowski, a Kansas State fullback and the youngest to his famous brother, agreed to terms with the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent.
The youngest of five Gronkowski brothers, Glenn follows in the footsteps of his older brother Rob, the All-Pro tight end for the New England Patriots, as well as brothers Dan and Chris, both former NFL players.
Glenn Gronkowski, a native of the Buffalo suburb of Williamsville, tweeted about signing with the Bills after the draft concluded Saturday evening: "Staying home. Go bills!"
Rob Gronkowski also tweeted congratulations to his younger brother: "Congrats lil bro @ggronko signing with our hometown Buffalo Bills. It's all about getting an opportunity and capitalizing. Go pats!"
The younger Gronkowski, 23, played in 13 games each of the past three seasons for Kansas State, making 20 starts. The 6-foot-2, 238-pounder averaged 24.6 yards on 15 career receptions with five going for touchdowns. He earned second-team All-Big 12 honors in 2015 and was a first-team All-Big 12 selection in 2014.
"He's the new-age fullback," Bills general manager Doug Whaley told ESPN last week of Glenn Gronkowski. "A guy that can play a little H-back, play a little fullback, play a little tight end, so that's game-day versatility. That's a guy at 46 on your 46-man roster during game day that can play three different positions and special teams, so I think a guy like that definitely has a chance."
