TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin agreed to terms with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent.

Boykin, 22, tweeted Saturday night: "I'm so happy and blessed for the opportunity. Proud to be a @Seahawks."

The Seahawks went into the draft with Russell Wilson as the only quarterback on the roster and did not use any of their 10 picks on a QB.

The 6-foot, 212-pound Boykin finished fourth in the Heisman Trophy voting in 2014 and completed 64.9 percent of his passes for 3,575 yards with 31 touchdowns and 10 interceptions last season. He also ran for 1,319 yards and 17 touchdowns the past two seasons.

Boykin was suspended for last season's Alamo Bowl after an incident San Antonio in which he allegedly hit a police officer who was trying to break up a bar fight.

Seattle also invited Oregon quarterback Vernon Adams to attend rookie mini-camp on a tryout basis.

Adams went undrafted despite a pre-draft boast in which he said North Dakota State's Carson Wentz was the only better quarterback in the draft.

The 5-foot-11 Adams began his college career at Eastern Washington before transferring to Oregon for his senior season.
