Cleveland Browns claim LB Jackson Jeffcoat off waivers

The Cleveland Browns claimed linebacker Jackson Jeffcoat off waivers Monday from the Washington Redskins.

The 6-foot-3, 250-pound Jeffcoat, 24, is entering his third NFL season out of Texas. Originally signed by Seattle as an undrafted free agent in 2014, He has appeared in nine career games (one start) with Washington. He has totaled seven tackles, one sack, one interception and one forced fumble.

Last season, Jeffcoat played in six games before being placed on injured reserve on Nov. 7. He is the son of former Dallas Cowboys defensive end Jim Jeffcoat.
