Agent Drew Rosenhaus informed Johnny Manziel that he would no longer represent the former Cleveland Brown unless the quarterback gets treatment.

"I have terminated the standard representation with Johnny Manziel in the hopes of helping him get the treatment I believe he needs," said Rosenhaus, who has never fired a player in 27 years as an NFL agent. "I have informed him that if he takes the immediate steps I have outlined for him that I will rescind the termination and continue to represent him. Otherwise the termination will become permanent. There is a five-day window for me to rescind the termination. I'm hoping he takes the necessary steps to get his life back on track."

Manzel told TMZ last week: "I don't think there's anything wrong with partying, bro. There's a difference between partying and being out of control."

Manziel, who also told TMZ he was out in West Hollywood five or six nights in a row, said he doesn't think NFL teams have a problem with his partying.

The former Texas A&M star was waived by the Browns on March 11 after two turbulent seasons dominated by poor performance on the field and poor behavior off of it.

Manziel, who is being investigated by a grand jury in Dallas for an alleged assault on his girlfriend, spent 10 weeks in rehab following his rookie season.

Meanwhile, Manziel was a passenger in a vehicle that struck a light pole on Sunset Boulevard and left the scene, Los Angeles police confirmed Wednesday.

A Los Angeles police spokesperson said Ryan Silverstein, a friend of Manziel, was the driver.
