PITTSBURGH -- St. Louis Cardinals left fielder Tommy Pham left the game with left oblique tightness in the bottom of the second inning against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Sunday in Major League Baseball's season opener.

Pham grounded out in the first inning in his only plate appearance. Matt Holliday, making the first appearance of his 13-year career at first base, moved to left field and Matt Adams took over at first base.
