Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski underwent total left knee replacement surgery Sunday, the school announced.
The operation was performed at Duke University Medical Center by Michael Bolognesi.

Krzyzewski, 69, is expected to be released from the hospital within three days.
"The technical aspects of the case went as we had hoped, and Coach Krzyzewski is doing well," Bolognesi said in a news release circulated by Duke's athletic department. "We will try to get him up walking today, as we will let him put as much weight as he tolerates on the implant right away."
Krzyzewski will begin a rehab program at Duke upon being released.
Krzyzewski is scheduled to coach the U.S. men's basketball team in the summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. The team is expected to be selected in late June, and the Olympics start in August.
Krzyzewski previously had both hips replaced -- the left hip in 1999 and the right one in 2002.
The Blue Devils were eliminated from the NCAA Tournament by Oregon in the Sweet 16.
