Chicago Bears re-sign S Chris Prosinski

The Chicago Bears re-signed safety Chris Prosinski to a one-year contract Friday.

Prosinski has appeared in 69 NFL games with 14 starts over five seasons with Jacksonville (2011-14), Philadelphia (2014) and Chicago (2015), collecting 105 tackles, one sack, one tackle for a loss, one interception, one forced fumble and six pass breakups. On special teams, he has recorded 37 tackles and two fumble recoveries.


Prosinski originally signed with the Bears on Sept. 29, 2015. He appeared in 13 games with five starts last season, notching 32 defensive tackles, one sack, one forced fumble recovered by Chicago's defense, nine special teams stops and one opponent fumble recovery on a muffed punt.

Prosinski, who turns 29 next month, was a fourth-round pick out of Wyoming by the Jaguars in the 2011 NFL Draft.
