Cleveland Bowns CB Joe Haden has ankle surgery

Cleveland Browns cornerback Joe Haden underwent surgery on his left ankle on Wednesday, the team announced Friday.

Haden injured his ankle in the Browns' Week 8 home game against the Arizona Cardinals. He is expected to resume football activities during training camp and should be ready for the start of the 2016 regular season.

Haden started five games in 2015 and was inactive for eight games because of injuries, including a concussion and rib, finger and ankle injuries.

A two-time Pro Bowler, Haden has 16 interceptions in his career with the Browns.
