Kansas lands overall No. 1 seed in NCAA tourney

Kansas was rated the overall No. 1 seed for this year's NCAA tournament when the brackets were revealed on Sunday.

The Jayhawks are 30-4 and won both the Big 12 regular-season and conference tournament titles.


Also earning top seeds were Atlantic Coast Conference foes North Carolina (28-6) and Virginia (26-7) and Pac-12 tournament champion Oregon (28-6).

Passed over were Big Ten tournament championship Michigan State (29-5) and Big East regular-season champ Villanova (29-5).
