The Jacksonville Jaguars signed unrestricted free-agent cornerback Prince Amukamara, the team announced Friday.
He agreed to a one-year deal, according to multiple media reports.
Amukamara, 26, spent his first five NFL seasons with the New York Giants and played out his rookie contract, which included a fifth-year option that paid him $6.9 million in 2015.
Amukamara has totaled 261 tackles (225 solo), 45 passes defensed and seven interceptions in his career.
He played in 11 games in 2015 and had 63 tackles (55 solo) and 10 passes defensed, including one interception he returned for a touchdown.
The Jaguars had a league-high amount of salary-cap space and have signed six free agents.
