World No. 1 Jordan Spieth came up one shot short in Singapore.

Song Young-han of South Korea emerged with a one-shot win Monday when the Singapore Open concluded following a weather delay.

Spieth was trailing by two shots at 10-under and was about to attempt a 5-foot birdie putt on the final hole Sunday when officials ordered play to be stopped because of lightning strikes in the area.

The American sank the putt to conclude a 5-under-par 66 at Sentosa Golf Club, giving him a four-round total of 273.

Song returned to the course and made a 12-foot putt for par to preserve his lead. He then parred each of the final two holes to seal the win.

Play was suspended for more than three hours Sunday before officials announced the tournament would resume Monday morning.

After the first two days of the event were cut short because of the inclement weather, Spieth was among a handful of players who returned to the course after sunrise Sunday to finish their third rounds.

Spieth missed his early-morning par putt on the 17th, where he had marked his ball overnight, but birdied the 18th to head into the final round five shots behind Song.

"My game really started to come together on the back nine. I was putting some pressure on the leader," Spieth said after play was halted Sunday. "Assuming I make that putt on 18, that is going to put some pressure on."
